OTFS x RISING RED LOTUS
On a typical day on the Beltline in ATL, there is a ton of activity outside. Electrical skateboards, to just everyday people getting some fresh air. Then there are guys out there like us out on the belt. Poppin wheelies and weaving in and out of the crowds getting it in on 29” BMX bikes is usually how you’ll find us out there. On one of these typical days, we stopped under one of the overpasses to catch our breath and wait on a few guys to catch up and at a glance, all you saw was this dope painting of some koi fish and around it was all of this color and then there was what appeared to be Chinese writing but in a style that was super crazy. Once it has your attention you’ll see “Rising Red Lotus”. After a few days of cruising through the city it became obvious that this artist was putting in work all over the city. It was the Wu-Tang inspired piece that took us over the edge. We saw that and immediately decided that we had to get in touch and see if there was any way we could collab or at least just see who this artist was. After a few calls to @EMEFGRIFF and @dopepedelars the info was retrieved. We had a line in on a guy named Brandon.
After some weeks of going back and forth on ideas and different looks at scripting and the incorporation of his style and our design aesthetic, this capsule collection began to grow legs and take real shape.
